This 2021 Alice’s Adventures Through The Looking Glass £5 is the second in a two coin series and celebrates Lewis Carroll’s story about an inquisitive young girl called Alice.
Almost 160 years ago, an inquisitive young girl called Alice followed a white rabbit underground into a subterranean realm called Wonderland. Six years later, Alice went on another wild and weird adventure into Looking-Glass House. Featuring designs that use Sir John Tenniel’s original illustrations used for the first editions of both books, the coins celebrate the nonsensical brilliance of Lewis Carroll’s timeless masterpieces.
