Over the next five years, The Royal Mint will commemorate the ten heraldic beasts that sit on the parapets of the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace. The collection begins with the 2022 Seymour Panther £5, a majestic beast that Henry VIII gave to Jane Seymour, his third wife, as a symbol of their matrimonial union.

Although the stone beast is depicted as a ferocious animal, with flames coming from its mouth and ears, the Seymour Panther symbolised a peaceful and loving union between the king and consort who bore him the male heir he so desperately yearned for.

Celebrate the heraldic beasts of the Tudor dynasty with the £5 Brilliant Uncirculated Coin, 1oz Silver Proof Coin (Limited Edition 6,000), 2oz Silver Proof Coin (Limited Edition 2,000), 5oz Silver Proof Coin (Limited Edition 300), 10oz Silver Proof Coin (Limited Edition 150), 1kg Silver Proof Coin (Limited Edition 70), 1/4oz Gold Proof Coin (Limited Edition 1,000), 1oz Gold Proof Coin (Limited Edition 550), 2oz Gold Proof Coin (Limited Edition 350), and 5oz Gold Proof Coin (Limited Edition 125).
