This Tales of the Earth 2021 Temnodontosaurus 50p coin is part of a new three-coin The Mary Anning Collection, celebrating the remarkable finds made by one of Britain’s greatest fossil hunters. Designed in collaboration with the Natural History Museum, the collection starts with Temnodontosaurus, an apex predator that once stalked the deep ocean.
The other two coins in the series are the Plesiosaurus and Dimorphodon which will be released at a later date.
