This 2024 D-Day 50p commemorates the 80th anniversary of D-Day. On 6 June 1944, more than 132,000 Allied troops stormed five beaches held by the German army on the Normandy coastline in France, the outcome of which helped turn the tide of the Second World War.
Artist David Lawrence pays tribute to the troops with a design that depicts Allied soldiers leaving assault craft and wading ashore.
