This is the 21st hunt in the series where we buy a sealed £250 bag to see how many commemorative 50p coins I could find for my own collection. The sealed bag was from the Post Office and dated 21st July 2020 and time 15:25:05, so wish us luck!

This hunt had a nice variety of commemorative 50p coins. The 2013 Benjamin Britten 50p and 2016 Battle of Hastings 50p were both nice finds but finding a poor quality 2018 Paddington at the Station 50p was a bit disappointing!
Finding 2 Olympics always makes a great hunt and both had similar mintage figures. Today’s Star Find was the 2011 London 2012 Shooting 50p with a mintage of 1,656,500 just a bit less that the 2011 London 2012 Rowing 50p with 1,717,300. Both coins are worth around the £2.50 mark.
Make sure to check back for many more hunts!
