50p Commemorative Coin Hunt 024

This is the 24th hunt in the series where we buy a sealed £250 bag to see how many commemorative 50p coins I could find for my own collection. The sealed bag was from the Post Office and dated 22nd July 2020 and time 06:35:52, so wish us luck!

1x 2019 Paddington at St Paul’s 50p
1x 2019 Sherlock Holmes 50p

1x 2009 Capture of Gibraltar 1704 50p

Benjamin Bunny and Samuel Johnsons Dictionary were competing for the most 50p’s in this hunt with 5 a piece. The TOG (The Tailor of Gloucester) was a nice nice and it was great to see a 2009 Capture of Gibraltar 1704 50p. Coming from the North of England Territory coins are pretty hard to find.

The Star Find was of course an Olympic, and this 2011 London 2012 Goalball 50p has a mintage of 1,615,500 and is worth around £2.75.

Make sure to check back for many more hunts!
