This 2025 The Silver Sovereign Coin is the first of its kind from The Royal Mint, which is available with or without a special privy mark.
The Sovereign is a coin that has been in existence since the reign of Henry VII in the fifteenth century.
Struck in 999 fine silver to Proof standard, this new edition of The Sovereign is an exact replica in diameter and weight to its original gold counterpart. The reverse of the coin fittingly features Benedetto Pistrucci’s classic St George and the dragon, a design that has become synonymous with The Sovereign, whilst the obverse bears the official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III.
The 2025 The Silver Sovereign Coin is available as a Silver Proof Coin (Limited Edition 50,000) and Premium Silver Proof Coin (Limited Edition 15,000).
