This 2020 Christmas Scrooge Crown has been released on behalf of Ascension Island. As Ascension Island is actually mentioned in Charles Dicken’s book Bleak House.
This new design marks the 150th Anniversary of Charles Dicken’s. Charles Dickens himself needs no introduction. Born on 7th February 1812, the English writer created some of the world’s best known fictional characters and is regarded by many as the greatest novelist of the Victorian era.
This coin is produced in Cupro-Nickel and housed in a blue pouch and issued on behalf of the Ascension Island. (Issue limit 10,000). It is also available in Proof Sterling Silver in a black presentation box. (Issue Limit 2000).
